FUEL CELL INDUSTRY SEEKS FUEL CELL STIMULUS PACKAGE

The U.S. Fuel Cell Council, the Washington, D.C.-based association that represents the fuel cell industry, has asked Congress and the incoming Obama Administration to set aside $1.2 billion in the planned stimulus package for fuel cells and their fuels.

Founded in June 2001, the California Stationary Fuel Cell Collaborative is a public-private partnership working to advance the deployment of stationary fuel cells for distributed generation throughout the state of California.  It is co-chaired by Mary D. Nichols, chair of the California Air Resources Board, and Professor Scott Samuelsen, director of the National Fuel Cell Research Center at the University of California, Irvine.

The Collaborative is administered by the California Air Resources Board.  The Collaborative’s executive director is Michael Tollstrup, chief of the Project Assessment Branch.
